Precautions for using adjustable steel supports
Adjustable steel support is a key equipment used in important scenarios such as formwork support and foundation pit support in construction. Its safe use directly affects the quality of the project and the safety of construction personnel.

Adjustable steel support is a key equipment used in important scenarios such as formwork support and foundation pit support in construction. Its safe use directly affects the quality of the project and the safety of construction personnel. To ensure construction safety, please strictly follow the following usage regulations:
1. Pre use inspection
Check the integrity of the steel support: Confirm that the support rod, adjusting nut, connecting piece, etc. are not deformed, cracked, or severely corroded, and the threaded part should be intact and undamaged.
Check the adjustment function: Ensure that the adjustment screw rotates flexibly, without any jamming, and can be stably locked at the required height.
Check the base and top support: The base should be flat and stable, and the contact surface between the top support and the template or structure should be flat to prevent uneven local stress.
2. Proper installation and adjustment
Erect according to design requirements: Strictly determine the support spacing, height, and load requirements according to the construction plan, and do not change them arbitrarily.
Maintain vertical force: During installation, a level should be used for calibration to ensure that the steel support is vertical and avoid instability caused by eccentric compression.
Reasonably adjust the height: The exposed length of the adjustment screw should not be too long to prevent the support rod from bending and deforming.
3. Safety usage regulations
Overloading is strictly prohibited: The load-bearing capacity of a single support shall not exceed its rated load, and the stacking materials shall be evenly distributed.
Unauthorized dismantling is prohibited: Before the concrete reaches the design strength, it is not allowed to dismantle or loosen the support in advance.
Avoid impact loads: When pouring concrete, it is necessary to avoid pump pipe impact or concentrated dumping that may cause instantaneous overload of the support.
4. Environmental and maintenance requirements
Moisture and rust prevention: When used outdoors, regular checks should be conducted for rust, and severely corroded supports must be replaced.
Regular inspection: During the construction process, the stability of the support should be checked daily, and any looseness, settlement, or other issues should be promptly reinforced.
Standardized storage: After dismantling, the support should be cleaned of sediment, the adjusting screw should be coated with oil for rust prevention, and the stacking should be elevated to prevent moisture.
5. Emergency response
If there is obvious bending of the support, nut slippage or foundation sinking, the operation should be stopped immediately, personnel should be evacuated, and damaged parts should be replaced.
After rainstorm, earthquake and other disastrous weather, it is necessary to comprehensively check the safety of the support system.
